Jan. 2015: After a series of previews, Mike Randolph of The Good Pie and Half & Half will be bringing Público to The Loop at the end of next month. Randolph’s new venture will offer a menu of five categories: Crudo, botanas, tacos, arepas, and a la parrilla (meaning “from the grill”). A preview for the new eatery was held at Half & Half in October, with fresh items served such as scallops with green chorizo, corn and lime aioli as well as braised tongue infused with flavors like coffee, chipotle cilantro and onion. The foods will be prepared via a wood-burning hearth. You can also expect to drink from a selection of handcrafted cocktails. 6670 Delmar Blvd., The Loop, 314.833.5780

April 2015: Customers can enjoy the simple, fast and fresh pizzas and salads from Crushed Red Urban Bake & Chop Shop, as a third location is set to join its Clayton and Kirkwood roster on the CityPlace Campus, a mixed-use development space in Creve Coeur. In a space that was formerly a hair salon, the new Crushed Red will be getting a complete transformation by adding a kitchen, ventilation system and dining area that is wheelchair accessible. 11635 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur
