Openings: Cantina Laredo Heats Up Clayton, Hot Box Cookies Delivered To CWE
October: Leonardo’s Kitchen and Wine Bar opened for business in late October on The Hill in the former space that used to occupy Station Pizzeria. The new restaurant—owned by Rich and Terri LoRusso of LoRusso’s Cucina—was finally able to get it’s liquor license on Monday of this week, so guests can now enjoy beer and wine paired with a vast menu of sandwiches, hand tossed pizza, salads and more Monday-Saturday. 2130 Macklind Avenue, The Hill, 314.664.1410.
Nov. 18: The highly anticipated Strange Trap Kitchen, the newest concept from the creators of Strange Donuts, opened yesterday inside Brennan’s in Central West End. Nov. 19: The national modern Mexican restaurant, Cantina Laredo, opens its doors today in Clayton’s Centene Plaza. Serving up a flavorful menu of grilled fish, chicken and steaks alongside signature sauces, the Mexico City-style eatery offers fresh guacamole made-to-order right at your table. Guests can also enjoy the expansive drink menu, including the restaurant’s signature margarita, the Casa Rita, made with Sauza tequila, fresh-squeezed lemon and lime juice and cointreau orange liqueur. January 2015: Mizzou territory favorite Hot Box Cookies will be making its debut in St. Louis in the Central West End. Known for delivering freshly-baked cookies right out of the oven to your door, area residents can now fix sugar cravings without leaving the comfort of their homes. The concept was created by a University of Missouri student who opened the first location in Columbia in 2008 to offer an alternative delivery item for the area. 7 N.
