Adrian Walker is a man about town who has both style and a budding photography career that has him popping up everywhere from Saint Louis Fashion Week to Strange Donuts’ one-year anniversary bash. Catch his works in not one, but two critically acclaimed exhibits in St. Louis: “Other Ways; Other Times: Influences of African-American Tradition from St. Louis Collections” at the Phillip Slein Gallery and “Street Beautification” at the World Chess Hall of Fame.

ALIVE: Describe your personal style.
AW: I’m a minimalist. I like neutral colors but with pop-color or printed print hats. I’m also an ex-sneakerhead, but now I wear Vans or Chucks on the regular.

ALIVE: What are a few of your wardrobe staples?
AW: Camera, glasses, watch, Nike FuelBand, and comfortable sneakers like Vans or Chucks. They have to be dirty though.

ALIVE: What’s your favorite wardrobe item?
AW: My “lucky hat” is by Supreme and I got it from James Coleman. Something good always happens when I wear it.

ALIVE: Do you have a style icon that you look up to?
AW: Locally, DJ Makossa; he’s effortless and fresh. I also look up to Sultan Bell and Nick Wooster.
