On Tap: Urban Chestnut is Opening a Consumer Research and Pilot Brewery
St. Louis has developed quite a palate for craft beer. Soon, you’ll be able to become a beer tester and give feedback on Urban Chestnut Brewing Company’s newest creations as the local brewery announced plans this week to open The U.R.B.—which stands for The Urban Research Brewery—a consumer research and pilot brewery in The Grove.
The plans for the space, Located directly across the street from the Grove Brewery & Bierhall, will include accommodations for brewing small batches of beer, a consumer research bar area and a small pizza-by-the-slice counter. The research bar area will be set up for guests to give instant feedback on test beers via their cell phones, tablets or other smart devices. The U.R.B. will be open daily, offering “test flights” of four two-ounce samples for $1, with the one requirement that the “surveyee” provide feedback within the digital platform. An opening is not yet slated, so stay tuned for updates. 4501 Manchester Road, The Grove
