On Tap: Stumpy's Spirits Distillery Set To Open Doors This Weekend

July 18: Stumpy’s Spirits, an out-of-the-ordinary type of distillery, will be opening its doors in Columbia, Illinois this weekend. Located on the founder’s 7th generation family farm, the distillery will boast handcrafted, individually branded bourbon, vodka and moonshine made from homegrown grain and fresh well water from a deep well located more than 200 feet beneath the distillery.

The grand opening will be held from 2-9pm this Saturday, and will include live music, tours, tastings and snacks along with limited-release batches of Unbroken Vodka and Old Monroe White Whiskey. 1727 Centerville Road, Columbia, Illinois

July 25-Aug. 2: TwinOak is celebrating Craft Beer Week with a specialty beer pairings menu. Find smoked wings, ribs and even a Philly taco paired with beers from Urban Chestnut Brewing Co., Perennial Artisan Ales and Six Row Brewing Co.

July 28: Ted Kilgore and 4 Hands Brewing Co. have teamed up to host Prost—which is another way to say cheers—for an evening inspired by Belgium and the Netherlands at Planter’s House from 6-9pm. For $50, your all-inclusive ticket will feature food and drinks featuring the local brewery’s Belgium-style beers. 1000 Mississippi Ave., Lafayette Square

Aug. 2: Mark your calendars now and prepare to witness 10 local chefs face-off at ALIVE’s Budweiser Burger Battle. RSVP now for free entry and choose from a variety of burger ticket options. The event will be held Downtown at Soldier’s Memorial from 12-4pm.
