On Tap: LifeBridge Holds Fundraiser Featuring Beer and Barbecue
May 8: Howards In Soulard, which rehabbed the space once occupied by Hi-Way Bar in Soulard, will officially open its doors on Friday at 6pm. On their very first night open, the bar/restaurant will have its whole small plate and entree selections available for diners. May 16: LifeBridge is hosting the perfect event for summer and as a bonus, it’s also a fundraiser. The event is $50, and for their money, attendees get to sample beer from Urban Chestnut Brewing Company and The Civil Life; nosh on barbecue provided by Rick Lewis (chef-owner of The Southern) and Andy Fair of Urban Chestnut and take home a commemorative cup. A silent auction will close out the event, with beer, Cards tickets and restaurant gift certificates up on the block. May 11-17: After celebrating Maifest on Saturday (May 9), Urban Chestnut Brewing Company will take on a full week of celebrating in honor of American Craft Beer Week. Throughout the week look for various specials at both the Grove and Midtown location, including a special on Friday that rewards those who simply wear Cards or UCBC gear. The week really comes to a head on Saturday with Oktoberfest in May at the Midtown Brewery.
