Gezellig Tap House and Bottle Shop is taking over the space that currently houses The Demo Room in The Grove neighborhood. The beer shop is aiming for a fall opening and will carry a wide variety of local, national and international beers by the bottle and on draft as well as offer packaged beer to-go. The space is known to bring talented performers, so there are plans for opportunities to bring in local talent, pop-ups and events.

“We want to elevate the craft beer experience in the St. Louis area, for the connoisseur and initiate alike, in a setting that captures general togetherness and conviviality,” said Brandon Cavanagh, founder and operator of Gezellig. A farewell party for The Demo will take place on July 9. 4191 Manchester Road, The Grove

Ever wish you could hire out your bartender for an event? Well, now you can. As first reported by Feast, the Wandering Sidecar Bar Company is St. Louis’ mobile bar housed in a 1960 Avalon camper. Owners Tiffany and Dave Unger are based out of St. Charles, but are willing to travel—even the first 50 miles are included in the fees. The duo provides their vintage bar along with glasses, ice and garnishes—all you need is to provide the alcohol. The Wandering Sidecar is already taking requests for events.

Shaw neighborhood mainstay Thurman Grill and Provisions’ owner Larry Weineles has sold the grill and will be closing after 10 years in business today. The space will undergo a brief renovation before new ownership takes over. Weineles announced via the NextDoor neighborhood app that the new owner, Doug Fowler, will be reopening hopefully by early August. 4069 Shenandoah Ave., Shaw

Chesterfield’s Krieger’s Sports Bar & Grill closed for business after service last Friday after 25 years in business. According to a Facebook announcement, the location’s landlord did not renew the popular neighborhood bar’s lease. 1684 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield

July 3: Celebrate the Fourth of July a day early at Wheelhouse Downtown for the Fourth of Ju’Luau. The bar will be bringing a tropical vacation destination to STL paired with some fruity beverages. Don’t forget to come to brunch at 10am for bottomless mimosas and American toast—which is French Toast that’s been cooked on Independence Day weekend. 1000 Spruce St., Downtown

July 6: Gamily Whiskey House’s Women Who Whiskey will be holding its monthly gathering with a county fair-themed evening, featuring Gary and Katie Hinegardner of Wood Hat Spirits in New Florence, Mo. The cost for the night is $60 per person and includes a three-course meal with whiskey pairings. 236 N. Euclid Ave., Central West End

July 9: Sasha’s on Shaw will be introducing 4 Hands Brewing Co.’s new brew Dakine in a very tiki fashion. Guest bartender Matt Seiter will be serving up concoctions from the Dakine Tropical IPA while you enjoy tiki inspired food, special tapping of Rubus Flux and music courtesy of Ikaika Ronquillio.
