On Tap: Gaslight Celebrates Grand Opening, Brasserie Beer Brunch with Side Project Brewing

March 5: Gaslight is making its official debut on Saturday with a grand opening celebration from 4pm-1am. Grab a taco from Cha Cha Chow’s walkup counter and a cocktail from the bar while enjoying music in the music studio/bar by The Gaslight Squares and Brian Krumm of The Great Crusades with special guest Jake Brookman. March 5: Quincy Street Bistro is holding Kegs n Eggs 6 on Saturday morning from 9am-12pm. The mouthwatering menu includes creative egg dishes like MacDowell’s MacGriddle with French toast bread pudding, sausage patty, scrambled eggs, maple smoked cheddar and house tots. Featured beers include Perennial Artisan Ales’ Sump Coffee Stout, Modern Brewery Citrapolis IPA and more. 6931 Gravois Ave., Princeton Heights

March 6: Do you have a great recipe for macaroni and cheese? This Sunday, get your fix at the Third Annual Mac and Cheese Cook Off by Alpha Brewing Co. Bring in your crockpot or casserole dish of your best mac to get a chance to win a trophy and earn bragging rights until next year. Entries will also get a beer on the house. $11 to taste test and judge. Includes a beer, bowl and a spoon. Tasting begins at 3pm.

March 7: While we wait for VISTA Ramen to open, you can spend your Monday at 4 Hands Think Tank for a pop-up beer and ramen meal. Enjoy a cold glass of 4 Hands to pair with tasty ramen dishes. The dinner will begin at 5pm and end when supply runs out. 2831 Cherokee St., Cherokee Business District

March 19: Executive Chef Nick Blue of Brasserie by Niche is teaming up with recent James Beard semifinalist Side Project Brewing for the Central West End spot’s next latest beer brunch. You’ll see Side Project’s acclaimed beers Grisette, Leaner, Noir Du Fermier, The Scribe and Biere Du Pays paired with dishes such as pork schnitzel with buttermilk biscuit and Pommes Dauphine. The two-course meal with beer pairings will have seatings at 10:30am, noon and 1:30pm. Reservations are required and tickets are $36. 4580 Laclede Ave., Central West End
