On Tap: Ferguson Brewing Co. Celebrates 5th Anniversary This Weekend

April 18: Schlafly is launching its Ibex series this weekend, starting with Lazy Ballerina, a French-style Saison brewed with locally grown three-month-aged Chambourcin grapes from Chandler Hill Vineyards. April 18: Ferguson Brewing Company is celebrating five years of business, and has invited 22 local breweries to join in on the party from 1-5pm this Saturday. There will also be live music by Steve Ewing, a photo booth and food specials all day. Kaldi’s Coffee will even be on the scene sampling cold brews. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, and will include a souvenir tasting glass to receive unlimited beer samples. 418 S. Florissant Road, Ferguson, 314.521.2220

April 20: Join EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery for Wine Uncorked: Classic Wine Regions of the World, a session focused on the wines of Italy. There will be a tasting through eight wines while discussing the history of its grape-growing regions.  The cost is $20 per session for Wine Club members; $25 per session for general public. May 9: It’s finally springtime, and Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. is bringing back its annual Maifest on Saturday, May 9 from 12-6pm at the Midtown Brewery and Biergarten. The drink of choice for the event will be Bockbiers, a strong German-originated beer that is traditionally enjoyed in Bavaria during the brief spring transition between the winter and summertime. Tickets aren’t required, but $12 will give guests a commemorative Urban Chestnut Maifest glass and discounted re-fills of Bockbiers. 3229 Washington Ave., Midtown, 314.222.0143
