On Tap: Experience Modern Brewery's Tasting Room This Weekend

When we first spoke to Modern Brewery’s president and CEO Beamer Eisele last summer at the beginning of his and head brewer Ronnie Fink’s journey into STL’s craft beer scene, the use for space next door was not a high priority. Now that the brewery has launched and continues to show up on taps across town—with its distinguished light bulb atop the tap—the property next door has become a tasting room. Open to the public starting tonight, the tasting room will have open hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 4-10pm. As reported by St. Louis Magazine, expect to get a taste of 12 Modern brews available as well as some guest breweries in the mix. There’s no food offered, but the owners allow guests to bring outside food to enjoy with their beers. Growlers will also be available. 5231 Manchester Road, Kings Oak

Nov. 13: Support Kingdom House at the annual Toast and Taste: The 1970s in A-B’s Biergarten. Don your best ’70s attire for the costume contest, participate in the silent auction, an open bar of more than 40 beers on tap and more. Tickets are $60. 1200 Lynch St., Soulard

Nov. 20: Chandler Hill Vineyards will be featuring an evening with guest winemaker Grant Long, Jr., sole proprietor of Aonair Wines in Napa Valley. Participate in a a special five-course dinner at 7pm with dishes such as savory veal pot pie served with a Proprietary Red Blend.
