On Tap: Celebrate Lunar New Year at Create Space, New Brewery Coming to Florissant

It’s the year of the Fire Monkey and Create Space is hosting a Lunar New Year Brew Tasting tonight. From 5-8pm, get a taste of Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.’s Moon Monkey Ginger Beer, a specialty beer created for the Lunar New Year Festival. Chinese Lion Dancers will parade the space while you sipping on brews from Tiger Beer, Old Bakery Beer Company, Earthbound Brewing, Morgan Street Brewery, Ayinger and New Holland Brewing Company. The Big O Liqeuer and Confluence Kombucha will also be around for tastings. The event is free to attend, but consider paying $10 for a Beer Passport, which will get you all the craft and international beers on the scene. 6325 Delmar Blvd., The Loop

New microbrewery Narrow Gauge Brewing Company is coming soon to Florissant. Set for production to begin this spring, the brewery will be hosted by Cugino’s Italian Bar & Grill. As reported by Sauce, co-owners Ben Goldkamp, Dave Beckham and brewer Jeff Hardesty, the beers produced will be exclusively offered from the restaurant—which will undergo a transformation to make space for brewing and a tasting room. 1595 N.
