Dec. 20: A collaboration between 2nd Shift Brewing and Side Project Brewing resulted in a beer called PARKAS, which was released a couple weeks ago. Head over to Perennial Artisan Ales tomorrow to try out the 2nd Shift version of this collaboration as well as also Side Project’s version, Lattice, named by owner Cory King. King’s brew is a farmhouse pale ale dry-hopped with Amarillo and Galaxy hops, with the 2nd Shift’s a 100 percent barrel-fermented, barrel-aged brett beer by owner Steve Crider. Doors will open for the tasting and purchases at noon on Saturday. Both beers will also be available on tap side-by-side at Side Project Brewing in Maplewood on Dec. 30. 8125 Michigan Ave., Downtown, 314.631.7300

Dec. 21 and 23: Looking to take a break from the holiday stress to relax with some beer and laughter? Well, Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. is kicking off a monthly film series with the holiday classic, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” this Sunday at their Grove Brewery and Bierhall. There will be plenty of beer and eggnog to be enjoyed alongside snacks like popcorn, turkey jerky and perhaps even some “cat food-infused Jell-O molds.” Come to the Midtown location on Tuesday, Dec. 23, for a Festivus party—a secular holiday as made popular by the “Seinfeld” episode “The Strike”— with beer specials all night. 4465 Manchester Ave., The Grove; 3229 Washington Ave., Midtown, 314.222.0143

Jan 14: Spend an evening of “bending and brews-ing” with Yoga Buzz at the Biergarten at Anheuser-Busch. Certified Yoga Instructor Elle Potter will be leading a one-hour yoga class open to all levels. At the conclusion of the class, participants can enjoy a pint of your choice in the Biergarten. Tickets are $20 and will include the class, beer, Yoga Buzz pint glass and a surprise—all you need to bring is a mat. A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the St. Louis Brewers Guild.
