ALIVE TOP CHEF
St. Louis takes its burger seriouslyand over 400 people came out to play a part in selecting St. Louis best burger at the ALIVE Top Chefs All-American Throwdown. Six chefs brought their best to the second annual event, and in the end, Chef Josh Roland from Wildflower took home the coveted title with a classic take, using all housemade ingredients. “I wanted it to be as All-American as you can get, both traditional, yet refined,” says Roland.

The burger included a combo of ground sirloin, chuck and brisket, grilled perfectly and layered with homemade bacon and pickles, chopped greens, tomato confit, smoked cheddar, topped with a slightly zesty black pepper mustard and bacon mayo on a brioche bun from Companion. Get a taste of this winning burger at Wildflower in the Central West End.

Come Valentines Day, St. Louis will have a new spot to enjoy a romantic dinner or just a authentic Italian meal. Word has it that Vito Racanelli Jr. of Onesto and V. Catering is set to open a new rustic Italian restaurant in Clayton.
