Now Serving: Aya Sofia Offers Turkish Delights

Enjoy new menu items and a seasonal cuisine on their perfect-for-summer patio.

Aya Sofia in South City just keeps dishing out reasons to go back again and again. Not only are they one of STL’s only Turkish restaurants with regular belly dancers and authentic Mediterranean cuisine, but they also recently debuted a few new menu items, a new brunch menu and now that the season allows, you can enjoy lunch or dinner on their charming patio. The Sunday brunch menu features Turkish specialties such as scrambled eggs with tomatoes, bell peppers and ground beef and a breakfast plate with kasar and feta cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and butter and American specialties like pancakes, eggs Benedict, French toast and omelets. If that doesn’t make you an early riser on Sundays, nothing will. And of course, the lunch and dinner menu is a must, with everything from stuffed grape leaves to calamari to fried eggplant and tender lamb shank (6671 Chippewa St., South City, 314.645.9919).
