On Monday night, Niche will welcome Elena Currado, owner of Vietti Winery, and local wine shop A. Bommarito in a special five-course wine dinner. The evening will celebrate the Currados’ century-long dedication to the artistry of winemaking, as well as the individuals working to further enrich the St. Louis wine culture.

During each course, guests will enjoy a carefully selected Vietti wine to match the Italian flavors of the menu. Dishes will heighten and highlight the highly-acclaimed nuances of specific Vietti vintages, such as the 2009 Barolo Castiglione, which was given 94 points by Robert Parker’s reputable Wine Advocate in 2013. According to Advocate, Gerard Craft’s 4th course, gnudi with white ragu, should pair beautifully with the “radiant but subdued quality with polished notes of dry mineral, black fruit [and] licorice.”
