New, Family-Friendly Dinner Menu Lands At The Nest
Frontenac’s most family-friendly restaurant, The Nest, has debuted their new spring-inspired dinner menu that’s a hit with grown-ups and kiddos alike. The health-conscious options certainly don’t skimp on flavor all while highlighting the best local and organic produce.
For starters, check out their oil-free take on the classic Caesar, which swaps out oil for avocado in the dressing, or the arugula salad tossed in a raspberry vinaigrette and topped with dried cherries, toasted almonds and gorgonzola crumbles. Don’t worry about breaking the bank when it comes to the entrees because the most expensive items—the Wenneman’s bone-in pork chop served with polenta and Brussels sprouts, and the almond-crusted halibut with potato gratin and green beans—are only $15. Also, try a slice of The Nest’s chocolate torte or classic cheesecake for a decadent end to the meal.
Kids are kept happy as well with a specific menu geared toward little ones. Flatbreads along with gluten-free homemade chicken tenders and chicken and waffles are kid-friendly without compromising health-conscious ingredients. Each of the kids’ meals come with a fresh-squeezed juice and one side, such as rice noodle pasta salad or Parmesan crisps. Kids are also provided an indoor play pass with the meal, allowing parents the rare opportunity to eat in peace while their kiddos burn off some extra energy.
Besides family-friendly dinners, The Nest also offers a wide range of cooking classes, parenting workshops, on-site childcare and space to host special events. Breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch are served weekly and the juice bar area offers fresh drink options and coffees.
