New Barrel Room Adds Much-Needed Extra Space At Gamlin Whiskey House
After only half a year since opening in the Central West End, Gamlin Whiskey House has already grown thanks to a new addition called the Barrel Room. The extra space increases Gamlin’s opportunities to host unique private events, such as their Missouri Whiskey Society that starts this summer, while also adding much needed seating during busy dinner services.
Proprietor Derek Gamlin expressed his excitement about the new developments in a recent press release. “We have had an overwhelmingly positive response from the community since we opened Gamlin Whiskey House in the fall,” said Gamlin. “The Barrel Room provides a great space for private events, and an expanded bar area with additional seating for our guests.”
The 70-seat space was previously home to the restaurant Green Bean, which shared a wall with Gamlin Whiskey House along N. Euclid Avenue. The new space follows suit with the whiskey-themed décor found throughout the original portion of the restaurant, incorporating everything from hand-selected whiskey barrels to furniture made with white oak wood (the same used for the barrels).
Also, the Barrel Room doubles the bar space at Gamlin Whiskey House, which was often elbow-to-elbow on busy nights. Now, guests can enjoy the same selection of whiskeys while sitting at the Barrel Room’s sleek bar featuring reclaimed wood left behind by Green Bean.
Open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 1:30am and Sunday from 10am to 12am. 236 N. Euclid Ave., Central West End, 314.875.9500.
