Coachella just released the much-awaited lineup for the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24, and it’s killer. Missouri’s own Nathaniel Rateliff will be performing along with some of our favorite artists such as Grimes, ASAP Rocky, CHVRCHES and Beach House. Of special note are the exciting reunions taking place on stage–Guns N’Roses are performing for the first time in 20 years and LCD Soundsystem for the first time in five. But did I mention Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats?

Rateliff grew up in Hermann, Missouri and moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of 18, so he’ll be representing a hybrid of the two states. He started his band Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats in 2013 and gained recognition when they performed their foot-stomping single “S.O.B.” on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show.” We should all feel lucky for the debut that almost wasn’t: Rateliff has said he didn’t want to record “S.O.B.,” since it was written as a joke. Clearly, the joke landed and stuck hard. Missourians won’t want to miss this rising Midwestern musician drop some soul in California.
