My Style: Lindsay Pattan

Founder/Owner/Vintage Curator, Miss Ohio Vintage & Social Media Coordinator, Bakers Footwear Group

Describe your personal style.
A little feminine with some harsher qualities. My standard is a girly blouse, flared denim, suede booties, a leather jacket, a clutch and bangles.
What are you wearing today?
A BCBGMaxAzria dress, vintage earrings, vintage bracelets and a vintage lion belt from Miss Ohio Vintage; vintage rings and bracelets from BelleStyle; a Bakers collar necklace and “Jacquie” booties; and vintage tights from an estate sale.
How do you curate vintage pieces for your personal wardrobe?
I look for two things: bold basics (in classic cuts and great fabrics that will pair well with anything, but also stand out alone) and eccentric statement pieces—think over-the-top garments and accessories in hot prints, textures and shapes.
What’s one item from your closet that you cannot live without?
I wouldn’t make it without my leather jacket from BCBGMaxAzria.
What’s your go-to piece?
Shorts and tights are my go-to, but, if it comes down to one piece, it’s definitely my boyfriend blazer with leather sleeves from BCBGMaxAzria.
Which designers are you obsessed with?
Acne, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders, Dion Lee, Alice + Olivia, Jil Sander, Marni, Balenciaga, Zac Posen, Theyskens’ Theory, Thakoon and BCBGMaxAzria.
What trend are you loving right now?
I am dying for pops of color and eccentric prints.
Where do you shop in STL?
Estate sales, Eve’s Apple Vintage, Miss Ohio Vintage, BelleStyle Bijoux, Ivy
Hill, Sole & Blues and Ziezo.
What’s your biggest fashion pet peeve?
It totally irks me when I find a piece I love, but the quality is iffy.
