Monthly Music Series Continues into Fall at the World Chess Hall of Fame
The World Chess Hall of Fame has proven itself a cultural institution that extends its relevance far beyond the realm of chess alone. From collaborations with the incubator designers of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund to pertinent art exhibitions and shows, its reach runs deep–which the organization has parlayed into a monthly music series that will extend with a series of dates stretching into the fall and winter months. If there’s a yearning for live music within you as the Whitaker Music Festival in the Botanical Garden comes to a halt during the colder months, we’ve found the perfect opportunity for you to still get your local music fix.
Confirmed upcoming performances include the stylings of the charming La Petite Brise – A Baroque Chamber Trio on September 26 at 7 p.m. and Christmas with Cortango on December 12, with performers for October and November to be announced.
General admission is $20, and reservations are required, but World Chess Hall of Fame members receive $10 admission, as well as seniors and military personnel. Better yet, your ticket includes a free drink and complimentary hors d’oeuvres—everything you need to enjoy a beautiful arts event in a lively cultural setting.
