Meet The Featured Breweries Of Schlafly's Repeal Of Prohibition Festival
On April 11, Schlafly Bottleworks will host its annual Repeal of Prohibition beer festival. Every year, Schlafly brings in several breweries from out-of-state for a unique beer sampling experience.
This year, Schlafly will offer more than 16 of their own brews, along with favorite beers from four well-known breweries from Washington, DC, and we’ve teamed up with Schlafly to introduce them! Tickets are $25, include unlimited beer samples and can be purchased at Schlafly Bottleworks, Schlafly Tap Room or online. The beers listed here are subject to change, so make sure to check in for updates on Schlafly’s website.
Right Proper Brewing Co.
Right Proper’s brewers understand the age-old techniques and traditions of classic brewing, but they work with a sense of fun and whimsy. Featured beers for the Repeal of Prohibition Festival are Ornette (rustic farmhouse wheat ale), Kick.Kick.Snare (dry-hopped Berliner Weisse) and Lifehouse (strong Belgian saison).
At Bluejacket, an understanding of and respect for the traditions and techniques of classic brewing coexist with a spirit of constant experimentation, innovation and collaboration. They’ll be bringing several beer styles to St. Louis, including Forbidden Planet (dry-hopped Kӧlsch), Lost Weekend (American IPA), Mexican Radio (mole imperial stout), A Little Golden Gem (unfiltered wheat) and Full Bloom (brett farmhouse ale).
Heavy Seas Beer
Heavy Seas’ mission is to craft well-balanced, full-bodied beers using a combination of traditional and avant-garde brewing methods and to be a leader in cask-conditioned ales. Repeal attendees can expect to enjoy several of Heavy Seas’ beers, including their flagship Loose Cannon (American IPA), Crossbones (session IPA), Powder Monkey (pale ale) and Peg Leg (imperial stout).
Port City Brewing Co.
Port City Brewing Co. is an award-winning brewery that aims to make quality beers that are delicious and well-balanced from the finest ingredients available. Beer styles coming to the beer festival include Optimal Wit (Belgian-style white ale), Ways & Means (session rye IPA), Tartan Ale (80-shilling Scottish ale) and Porter.
