Denim is easily one of the biggest staples in the every day wardrobe of millions across the globe, and is currently having a fashion “moment” in the 2016 collections of dozens of designers from Vetements to Alexander Wang. But for the majority of us who are looking for an everyday style that is made right here in America—and doesn’t break the bank—locals are looking to a new St. Louis-based brand that is determined to win you over with both fit and quality: Loyal Collective.

When asked “why denim?” Loyal Collective’s Tim Hughes and Matt Belz reply simply, “Because it’s the most challenging thing to do.” Sticklers for details and quality, both Hughes and Belz experienced a period of trial and error before hitting the mark. “It’s a challenge to work with denim because the fit is so important,” says Hughes. “We are really passionate about having a St. Louis-based brand and wanted to be sure that our final product lived up to its promise.”

Right now, the company is starting small with two base styles—a raw denim and a chino for men—that are a manageable starting off point for the budding brand. Women need not fret, however; the guys announced that they will be adding a women’s style to the mix this summer.

Loyal Collective is another excellent addition to the growing roster of local talent that is determined to put St. Louis on the fashion map. To keep up with the latest from the brand, follow them on Instagram and check out their website for available sizes and styles.
