As we reported on The Dish back in February, Lulu’s Local Eatery is parking their eco-and vegan-friendly food truck operation at a permanent location on South Grand Boulevard. On social media, owners Robbie Tucker and Lauren Loomis (a.k.a. Lulu) announced the soft opening of their brick and mortar on Monday, May 19. Hours for the month of May will be 12pm to 9pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from 12pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Tucker and Loomis also expect to offer a brunch service come June.

The building is across the street from Café Natasha in the former home of Natty’s Pizza. Enjoy prime patio season on Lulu’s outdoor space complete with a vegetable garden and great views of South Grand. On the menu will be similar options to those found on the food truck, such as the Buddha bowl with udon noodles and loads of veggies or the ever-popular sweet potato black bean burger, along with new plates and seasonal specials.

Fans of the food truck need not worry–Lulu’s will continue to roll the streets of St. Louis. You can catch them this evening at the first Food Truck Friday of the season in Tower Grove Park. Details can be found on Sauce Magazine’s website.

3201 South Grand Blvd., South City.
