Ready or not, the holidays are just around the corner! Lucky for you (and us), there are a ton of unique holiday shopping opportunities in and around the Lou for you to snag your best gifts to date. Whether it’s a craft fair, boutique sale or a curated shopping event, these spots will have you (and that cousin who’s hard to shop for) covered.

Updated: Nov. 15-Dec. 23, Central West End Sample Shop: The CWE Sample Shop has popped up yet again—this season it’s across from Kopperman’s Deli, offering shoppers a one-stop-shop for deals on winter gear, holiday gifts and designer apparel at shockingly low prices (most items are just $5-$10). Nov. 29-Dec. 22, Holiday Sessions at FLUX by Q Boutique: The World Chess Hall of Fame recently launched FLUX by Q Boutique, featuring curated pop-up shops throughout the holiday season by designers including April Johnston, Erika Dunk, Michael Drummond, Molly Douglass, Wai Ming and more. Nov. 29, Trunk Show and Sales at The Foundrie in Chesterfield, 5am-12pm: The charming Chesterfield boutique is offering 10 percent off their selection of locally made and vintage merchandise on Black Friday. Shoppers can also enter to win one of three gift baskets filled with merchandise and gift cards as well as shop an exclusive trunk show by St. Louis based-line Victrola. 265 Chesterfield Center at the Chesterfield Mall.

Nov. 29-Dec. 1, St. Louis Holiday Magic, hours vary: America’s Center turns into a winter wonderland for the fifth year of the Holiday Magic showcase, featuring over 40 vendors, 10 full-size carnival rides, photos with Santa and a slew of activities for the whole family. Dec. 5, ALIVE presents The Handmade Holiday Party, 7:30pm-11pm: This year, ALIVE has revamped their holiday event to include a cocktail party, shopping and live music acts at Monarch in Maplewood. Sip Pinnacle Vodka cocktails while perusing over 25 local vendors including Belles and Ghosts, Fable + Lore and East & West. Dec. 5, Perennial’s Holiday Party and Open House, 5pm-8pm: Grab great gifts from an array of unique pop-up shops featuring beautiful handmade goods and jewelry. Plus, Perennial’s store will be stocked with limited edition items from Perennial’s reSOURCE home goods line. You can even craft a few upcycled holiday gifts yourself at their reMAKE project station. Dec. 7, St. Louis Craft Mafia presents Artropy, 10am-4pm: Thirty local vendors take over the Regional Arts Commission on Delmar to showcase their newest wares and holiday gift items. Admission is free and complimentary wine and samples from Piccione Pastry will be served. The event benefits Tenth Life Cat Rescue. Dec. 7, Local Vendor and Business Shopping Bazaar at the Hilton at the Ballpark, 10am-4pm: Local vendors, crafters and businesses will set up shop to help you prepare for the holiday season.  A Toys for Tots donation drive will be held, and Santa will be on deck to take pictures with the kiddos. 1 S. Broadway in Downtown St. Louis.

Updated: Dec. 7, Cherokee Print League Holiday Sale, 10am-6pm: One of the largest print sales in the Midwest is back for its 6th year, showcasing local and regional artists whose work includes printmaking, screen printing, letterpress and fabric printing. Art demonstrations, on-site framing and food trucks will also be featured, bringing to life one of STL’s most eclectic neighborhoods. Updated: Dec. 10, Handmade Holiday Market Open House, 5pm-9pm: The Parsimonia Vintage Store on South Grand hosts an exciting holiday event featuring area businesses and crafters including A Tiny Moth, Red Anvil, Sucre Shop and Flora Lorraine. Dec. 12, CAM Craft Spree, 6pm-9pm: Jurors from the Rock N Roll Craft Show, STL Craft Mafia, ShowMe Etsy and Firecracker Marketworks will come together to present top local artists, artisans and crafters, all selling their original merchandise on site. KDHX will spin music, and artist demonstrations and workshop stations will be open all night. Dec. 14, Holiday Walk at Colonial Marketplace, 4pm-8pm: Tour and shop the new Colonial Marketplace in Ladue, which houses several St. Louis boutiques and businesses including Splash, Frill, Dominic Michael Salon, Dimvaloo Active Living, Ivy Hill and Marta’s Boutique. Each location will host specials, sales and discounts for shoppers to enjoy. Located at I-170 and Ladue Rd.

Pet-Friendly Shopping and Fun

Dec. 7 & 14, Paws ‘n’ Claus at Taubman Prestige Outlets, 11am-3pm: Santa Claus is coming to Taubman Prestige Outlets on two Saturdays in December. Get a photo of your four-legged friend with Santa and a special doggy treat, too. 17017 N. Outer 40 Rd., Chesterfield.

Dec. 14-15, Purina Farms Pet-acular Holiday Bazaar, 11am-4pm: Fun for family and your four-legged friends, Purina Farms presents their 4th annual Holiday Bazaar featuring unique holiday gifts from local artisans, exciting canine performances, delicious food, canine agility courses and a kids’ area with inflatable bounce houses.
