Just weeks after a successful fundraising blitz to keep the business running, Local Harvest Cafe (LHC) announced this morning that they will close their Downtown location after today’s service.

The news came from the LHC newsletter emailed to customers, which stated, “March 7 is the last day of operation for our downtown cafe. We are sad to leave our downtown customers and to leave the beautiful Old Post Office. After being behind on rent, we were unable to reach an agreement with out landlord and the best move was to part ways.”

LHC opened the cafe in June 2012 and it was considered the hub for their catering services. With the closure, all services will be relocated to the main LHC location at 3137 Morgan Ford Rd.

The ever-optimistic owners expressed that the news should be seen as a chance to bolster their business. “The development means a complete return to our roots. We are excited for the opportunity to further strengthen our Morgan Ford business.”
