Lafayette 148 New York Creative Director Hosts Fashion Presentation At Saks Fifth Avenue

The creative director of Lafayette 148 New York, Edward Wilkerson, heads to St. Louis on Thursday, March 19 from 12-2pm for a special Spring 2015 fashion presentation at Saks Fifth Avenue inside Plaza Frontenac.

Wilkerson is a respected member of the New York designer circuit and has been a member of the CFDA since 2004. He has spent time on the design teams of Calvin Klein and Donna Karan and was named one of the Top 25 Greatest Black Fashion Designers by Complex Magazine.

Lafayette 148 New York specializes in sophisticated, modern apparel for women using the finest European fabrics and attention to detail. The spring collection showcases vibrant prints,’70s-inspired silhouettes and separates and sets that can seamlessly transition from day to night.

The designer will host an exclusive fashion presentation and participate in a question-and-answer session led by St. Louis Post-Dispatch Fashion Editor Debra Bass. The event will be held on the upper level in the Modern Collections department. Saks will donate 10 percent of the day’s purchases to Gateway to Hope.
