Shop, enjoy a cocktail and take in the work of renowned STL artist Peter Manion this Friday, Sept. 18 from 5-8pm. “The Wall,” an exhibition space within the store, will feature Manion’s latest paintings, many of which include elements of abstraction surrounding a central subject. Manion is no rookie when it comes to showing his work: Local exhibitions of his have occurred at the Contemporary Art Museum, Art St. Louis Gallery and SOHA Gallery, among many other gallery spaces.

Why show art at a clothing store? Kit and Ace makes a point of dedicating resources to more than promoting the success of its own brand. What sets the company apart is not only an innovative approach to traditionally beloved textiles, but also a mutualistic relationship with surrounding creatives.

The brand has expanded around the globe, but still manages to tailor the interior design and partnerships of its retail spaces to each boutique’s respective region, offering local artists the chance to display their work in an intimate and sophisticated setting. In fact, Kit and Ace garments themselves are a sort of art form, many fashioned out of “Technical Cashmere,” a new form of the textile that accommodates machine-washing.

Prepare to be wowed by both textiles and painting as you enjoy a night of shopping luxurious clothes and viewing expressive contemporary art. For more information and to RSVP, email
