Jessie D. Miller, a.k.a. The Design Daredevil, Represents St. Louis as one of Rue Magazine's Top 7 Young Designers to Watch
St. Louis interior designer Jessie D. Miller has been named one of the “Top 7 Young Designers to Watch in 2015” by Rue Magazine, an online lifestyle magazine with 10 million page views per issue. Miller first gained national attention through her blog, thedesigndaredevil.com, and her appearance as a contestant on HGTV’s Design Star. The magazine spotted images from Miller’s apartment on her website, taken by Megan Thiele, and loved them so much that they featured them in a 16-page spread.
“Being featured in Rue is a total game changer in terms of being admired by my peers in the industry, not at a St. Louis level but a national level. It has brought me an enormous amount of visibility by people all over the country,” says Miller. “The other six designers are from New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Dallas. I truly hope that potential clients in my hometown will appreciate my fresh and unique approach to design that is not like anyone else here in St. Louis.”
Miller is currently working on various projects from an urban loft to a custom build home in Frontenac. “With each project you will see influences of my signature style—architectural details, black and white, abstract art, and vintage accessories—all in different applications.” For more of Miller’s design prowess, readers can visit her blog thedesigndaredevil.com and follow her on Instagram at @designdaredevil.
