Within the last year, Susan Barrett has brought both art and fashion in St. Louis to new heights. During her tenure as executive director at the World Chess Hall of Fame, Barrett was able to explore fashion-as-art in the nationally recognized “A Queen Within: Adorned Archetypes, Fashion and Chess” exhibition. Following her departure from WCHOF, Barrett co-established the groundbreaking Barrett Barrera, an art-meets-fashion consulting company, which specializes in reserving placement for fashion designers within St. Louis arts’ culture. She also is a board member of numerous different art organizations.
