Isaac Mizrahi Previews Designs for 'The Magic Flute' at CAM

Isaac Mizrahi, the fashion icon and legendary designer, will give audience members a look into his designs for “The Magic Flute” this Saturday at the Contemporary Art Museum. Aside from his countless stunning collections, runway shows and collaborations with major retail brands, Mizrahi is also a famed costume designer. His other costume works have been featured in the Metropolitan Opera’s 2008 production of “Orfeo ed Euridice” and Stephen Sondheim’s “A Little Night For Music”, also at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis.

Mizrahi designed these costumes exclusively for the Opera Theatre of St. Louis’ production of “The Magic Flute,” a classic Mozart opera with twists and turns about a prince who goes on a journey to save his beloved princess. Tickets for “The Magic Flute,” which runs from May 24 – June 28, are on sale now. Those interested in hearing more about Mizrahi’s inspiration behind his designs for this production can see him at the Theatre this Saturday.
