It’s officially baseball season in St. Louis, and ALIVE was on the scene for the official pre-game pep rally at Ballpark Village on April 13.

With Team Fredbird, Budweiser Clydesdales and DJs to keep the party going, fans gathered with plenty of Budweiser beer in hand to celebrate the unofficial holiday in St. Louis. Here’s a look at the scene before the home-opener began.

“Opening Day is an unofficial holiday in the city of St. Louis and we’re tremendously excited to be the ‘home base’ for Cardinals fans celebrating a new baseball season,” says Jim Watry, Ballpark Village chief operations officer.

Don’t forget that Ballpark Village will be hosting Cardinals fans for dining and entertainment for the full season complete with exciting game-related activities every day through October. As the official away-game-watch-party host, fans can enjoy the 1,200-square-feet of HDTV on the video wall. Also look for giveaways and free parking for select away games throughout the season.
