Now bicycle commuters have a place to park their rides Downtown.

Over the last few years, more commuters have been swapping their cars for cycles—and now they have a place to park their rides Downtown. The Downtown Bicycle Station is opening soon in the 411 Building at 10th and Locust streets and includes 1,450 square feet of space with 100-plus bike racks, showers and locker rooms, and offers 24-hour secure access. The new commuter bicycle station was developed in an effort to help make the city more livable and will also become home to Trailnet, the local nonprofit dedicated to creating more active communities in St. Louis. What’s more, the space will also be home to Downtown’s first full-service bike shop, Urban Shark, opened by Mike Weiss of Big Shark Bicycle Co. in The Loop. The shop will offer bike equipment, repairs and bike rentals and is set to open later this month or early February.
