Get Geared Up For The Third Annual Whiskey In The Winter Festival

We’re almost exactly one month away from the Whiskey in the Winter Festival, St. Louis’ annual celebration of all things whiskey. On Saturday, Nov. 22 from 6-9:30pm, more than 250 whiskey representatives will be showcasing and sampling their top-shelf products at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch.

Festival attendees have access to an international lineup of whiskeys that span from fine single malt scotches to rare small-batch bourbons. For those looking to increase their whiskey IQ, educational seminars led by industry experts will be held at 7, 7:45 and 8:30pm. Presentations will include seminars by master distillers, such as Fred Noe of Jim Beam and Harlen Wheatley of Woodford Reserve, and master tasters like Marianne Barnes also of Woodford Reserve.

Chefs from the Hyatt Regency will be manning food stations where attendees can indulge in whiskey-inspired dishes. Options include cedar-planked salmon topped with a whiskey butter sauce, roasted turkey breast with American Honey glaze, hickory- and bourbon-smoked prime rib and even whiskey-laced desserts such as the Fuji apple tart topped with a whiskey streusel. Mixologists from area restaurants and bars such as Cielo, Element and Old Standard will also be on hand crafting whiskey cocktails.

This year, Whiskey in the Winter has expanded their VIP experiences to include two, one-hour long pre-events beginning at 4:30pm. The first option is a whiskey and sushi tasting featuring Suntory Japanese Whiskey and the second highlights the Crown Royal brand experience. All VIP experience ticket holders receive a $40 gift certificate to Randall’s Wines & Spirits, a Glencairn whiskey glass, a “golden ticket” redeemable for one sample of a rare whiskey and early event entry at 5:30pm. 

Tickets are only available prior to the event. VIP experience tickets are $200 per person, VIP tickets are $125 per person, general admission is $95 per person and designated driver tickets are $35 per person.
