Get Away From The 'Lou: Nashville, TN

 In Culture

As much as we love good ol’ STL, it’s nice to pack up a few things and get away for the weekend. Whether you’re wanting to drive to another city for a different kind of nightlife or escape to the countryside for stargazing and quiet, there are many places to travel for a great weekend outside the ‘Lou. This week we bring you Nashville, TN.

Where To Stay

Renaissance Nashville Hotel
Right in the heart of downtown, the Renaissance Nashville Hotel is one that is hard to beat. Each room is uniquely designed, the staff insanely helpful and, my favorite part, you can walk everywhere.

Funky is the only way to describe this hotel. Close to the Parthenon (which you need to check out!), this hotel offers delightful comfort and a unique atmosphere.

Where To Eat

Marché Artisan Foods
A little French romance in the heart of the South, Marché Artisan Foods is a must-see and must-eat location. You may have to stand in line for awhile, but it is so worth it.

Lockeland Table
There’s a little bit of everything on Lockeland Table’s menu and each item is something drool-worthy. If you ask me, I’d order the LT Pig pizza with Olive & Sinclair chocolate chip skillet for dessert.

The Pancake Pantry
Well, no one has ever said you’d be wrong to order pancakes and at The Pancake Pantry, you’d be wrong if you didn’t.

What To Do

Savant Vintage
From clothes to jewelry to furniture, Savant Vintage has a huge selection for all of your vintage needs. Beware, your wallet will be significantly lighter when you leave.

Grimey’s New and Preloved Music
If you’re a lover of music (how could you not be?), Grimey’s should be the first thing on your list. It’s packed, beautiful and you’ll be finding hidden gems you couldn’t find anywhere else.

Wildhorse Saloon
Want to learn to line dance? Of course you do. Wildhorse Saloon is the place to go. With an insane Friday night Happy Hour (free draft on tap?) and live music, Wildhorse isn’t one to miss.
