For this holiday weekend, those on the coasts hit the beach, and the Midwest heads to the lake.

1/ One-Piece Swim Suit
The one piece is back and it’s here to stay. This look is perfect for a day on the lake. Whether you are catching some rays on the boat, wading off the shore or hopping on your water skis, these suits are practical and fashionable.

2/  Cover-up
To complete a one-piece look, throw on a pair of high-waisted jean shorts and transform your swimsuit into a body suit for a stylish outfit. Or refine your look with a crochet dress.

3/ The Perfect Beach Tote
A good beach bag is imperative to a successful lake day. Pack a sturdy canvas bag to store your necessities on a hot day on the water. If you are planning a long day in the sun, try an insulated tote bag to keep your refreshments and other contents cool.

4/ Sunhat
Not only is the sunhat a fabulous accessory,  it is also a great form of sun protection. Shielding your scalp and face, a cotton or woven sunhat can save your skin and complete your outfit.

5/ Sunnies
There is nothing worse than getting out on the lake, without a cloud in the sky, and realizing you forgot your sunglasses. Save yourself the crow’s feet and be sure to have a pair (or two) in your bag. This season, the cat-eye frame is the hot style. For the traditionalist, you can never go wrong with a pair of aviators.

6/ Sandals
No outfit is complete without the right pair of shoes. This summer swap out your flip-flips for a pair of chic slides. The slide is the flip-flop all grown up, and it is a must have for your next lake day.
