Four Ways To Make The Most Of LouFest

Summer has almost come to an end which means soaking up the last bit of sunshine with friends, and there is no better way to do that than by eating great food and listening to hip-swaying music in the middle of Forest Park. If you haven’t heard, LouFest is back and promises to be better than ever. This week we’ve teamed up with LouFest to bring you four ways to make the best of your time at the festival.

Dine Like The Stars
Far from your average festival food of funnel cakes and turkey legs, LouFest has teamed up with premier vendors from around STL to feed the thousands of hungry (and screaming!) fans taking a break in between the endless activities and fantastic music. Not only will you be able to sink your teeth into delicious barbecue from Straub’s Smokehouse BBQ, but you’ll be able to sample the rest of the stars of the Nosh Pit, like Mission Taco Joint, Strange Donuts and so many more.

Bring The Family
LouFest fun for adults, but music fans of all ages are welcome to enjoy the festival, including children. At noon take your kids to LouKidz, which runs parallel to the festival, for a family-friendly atmosphere. For an added perk, kids 10 and under get into LouFest for free.

Explore The Rest Of The Fest
Need to kill time between sets of your favorite music? Take a stroll through Market Square where you’ll find art, threads and stylish accessories from the local STL creative community. Not only will you go home with something unique, but you’ll be helping local businesses. How cool is that?

4Rock Out For The Earth
Make sure to participate in the Rock & Recycle program at this year’s LouFest. Visit the Rock & Recycle Center to pick up a bag to fill with recyclables; once your mission is complete and the bag is filled, trade it in for a commemorative t-shirt. At LouFest, you get rewarded for rocking and recycling.
