Food, Tunes and Backstage Tours: The Rep’s Block Party Rolls Out the Red Carpet

 In Event, Sponsored

The Repertory Theatre St. Louis welcomes its new artistic director, Hana S. Sharif, on July 25 with a free block party where they’re rolling out the red carpet for the community.

The entertainment headliner at this family-friendly outdoor summer party is guaranteed to catch everyone’s attention: It’s none other than the St. Louis Blues’ newly retired anthem singer, Charles Glenn. The party on the grounds of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts in Webster Groves will also feature lawn games (think giant Jenga), a prize wheel, kids’ activities and face painting.

Enjoy a complimentary beer courtesy of Llywelyn’s and Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. (with ID, while supplies last) and purchase something to snack on from the Guerrilla Street Food, Street Life and Serendipity food trucks.

Best of all, throughout the evening, The Rep offers backstage tours, demonstrations and Q&As with its artists. What better way to kick off a season that includes shows like “Angels in America: Parts One and Two,” “The Lifespan of a Fact” and “Pride and Prejudice.”
