Fontbonne University's Fashion Merchandising Program Hosts Its First Annual Styling Event

Fontbonne University’s fashion merchandising program is rolling out the pink carpet for its first styling event, Fleurs á la Mode: An Evening of Style and Elegance. On Friday, April 17 from 5-7:30pm, 13 fashion-forward female students of the program’s Fashion Promotions class will be providing guests with styling insights, demonstrations on closet organization and budgeting tips for cultivating your wardrobe with the latest trends.

Often, women are aware of the trends that are circulating but don’t take the risks necessary to incorporate them into their own, everyday style. This class believes that occasions like the one they will be hosting are a pivotal part in empowering women to get acquainted with their inner fashionista.

“So much of styling is psychological,” says Anne Jackson, local professional fashion stylist. “Women need to first feel comfortable in their own skin.” Jackson, as well as fellow fashion stylist Marissa Rosser, will be present at the event to answer any fashion-related questions. Guests may also enter to win a personal styling session.
