Friday July 23

Sara Bareilles with The Brothers Lazaroff
Contemporary Pop

Garnering comparisons to the soulful sounds of Fiona Apple and Norah Jones, Sara Barielles has secured her spot as a fixture in contemporary pop. A pianist and singer with no formal training, Bareilles began her career slowly nearly seven years ago. It wasnt until her single “Love Song” reached the Top Ten, though, that her career really took off. If Michelle Branch, Alicia Keys or Joni Mitchell are artists topping your iTunes list, Bareilles show will provide you with the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening Downtown.

Saturday July 24
Silversun Pickups with Against Me! & the Henry Clay People
Alternative Rock

Since 2005, this L.A.-native group has been slowly gaining attention after touring with big-name artists such as OK Go, Snow Patrol, Foo Fighters and Kaiser Chiefs. A little dreamy, a little Indie and a little grungy, the Silversun Pickups have blended a sound that will appeal to fans of Pearl Jam, My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead.
