St. Louis Fashion Week was founded by ALIVE Magazine with a mission of creating a platform from which local fashion designers can launch their careers and national designers can touch their Midwest customers. Each season, St. Louis Fashion Week presents a curated group of emerging local fashion designers with shows in both fall and spring.

The STLFW runway has showcased the talents of international designers such as Rebecca Taylor, Black Halo, Rachel Pally, Wrath Arcane, G Star Denim, Yana K. and Diesel and has assisted in boosting the careers of St. Louis natives such as Wai Ming and Skif International. Each fall, St. Louis Fashion Week reaches over 10,000 attendees and raises over $10,000 for local charities.

A St. Louis Fashion Week Advisory Board was created since last fall, and includes a high-profile cast of influencers in the fashion and arts communities, including Susan Barrett, Nicole Benoist, Tania Beasley-Jolly, Saskya Byron, Sam Foxman, Jan Leach Givens, Sara Hentz, Ann Higby, Emily Huey, Cabanne Howard, Boo McLoughlin, Susan Sherman, Ellen Soule, Sharon Tucci and Robin VerHage-Abrams.
