Fashion Retailer Kit And Ace Arrives In St. Louis

St. Louisans will soon be lucky enough to add luxury retailer Kit and Ace to their repertoire of fashion-forward boutiques with a new location that is slated to open up June 26 in the Central West End.

The company was launched by Shannon and JJ Wilson, wife and son of Chip Wilson, the founder of Lululemon. After spending years donning stretchy performance wear, they desired clothing that offered the same functionality but that also showcased their sophistication and style. Unable to get their hands on what they were searching for, they decided to create it.

Kit and Ace designs and sells apparel made from Qemir, a proprietary fabric created by the company that features washable cashmere. The first store opened nine months ago in Vancouver, Canada and now operates in Saskatoon, Edmonton, Toronto and Calgary as well as New York and San Francisco.

The St. Louis store, which will be located at 304 Euclid, is one of 10 locations planned for North America. Kit and Ace, which predicts itself to be a $1 billion company by 2019, has plans to open 50 shops worldwide by the end of this year.
