1/ The world lost an icon on Monday, creating a tearful, sad day for fans of the King of Cool, David Bowie, across the globe. The internet wasted no time creating article after article to pay tribute to the legend and one of his most important roles: fashion icon. Here are some highlights: Dazed Digital recaps five of Bowie’s most fearless fashion moments;  Billboard takes a fashionable trip through time with the rocker; The New York Times talks to designers at the final day of Men’s Week about Bowie as an inspiration; and The Washington posts honors Bowie as “rock’s greatest fashion visionary.” Now that’s a babe of power.

2/ London Collections Men happened, and it was awesome. Between the newest crop of drool-worthy male models, the always-impressive street style and the collections that finally have a leg-up on holding their own in a fashion market that has been predominantly focused on womenswear, all eyes are on the market that is considered the fastest growing in today’s industry.

3/ Since the world of menswear is growing, the demand for a proper men’s fashion education program has lead to an exciting launch of a two-year Menswear MA program at London’s Westminster University, reports BoF. The program was developed and will be led by Ike Rust, who resigned as head of menswear at The Royal College of Art (RCA) in June, and will be the first of its kind in the world.

4/ It’s no surprise that the increase of attention in the menswear sector has led to an overall change of the way men shop. While men used to avoid shopping malls and centers like the plague, the Wall Street Journal investigates the increased outpouring of men who are connecting directly with other fellow shoppers and designers directly in a more social shopping setting—i.e. trunk shows and pop-ups complete with cocktails, entertainment and custom ordering options for hard-to-fit guys.
