Fashion Hits And Misses at the Grammy Awards

One of the biggest yearly events in music took place on Sunday, sending musicians of all genres down the red carpet in their hottest evening attire. Although there were definitely some amazing looks, the lack of risk-taking fashion led to lackluster reviews across the net. We looked to music’s top publication, Rolling Stone Magazine, and web-based publication The Huffington Post for the rundown:

The always fashionable Rita Ora looked like a hundred-dollar bill in this money-green Lanvin.

Proving she still has it, Cyndi Lauper wore one of the most rock-star-worthy ensembles of the night by Alexander Wang. She later told Rolling Stone, “I have an awesome stylist.”

No one could take their eyes off music’s official power couple, Bey and Jay, last night. We adored Jay’s Tom Ford polka dot tux jacket and Beyoncé was looking sleek, chic and bobbed in this beautiful creation by Project Runway alum, Michael Costello.

We absolutely loved the cut and color of total babe Tasha Cobbs’ look. Extra points for the minimal styling and sleek hair.

Perfect bob, perfect gown, perfect cape. Loved Kelly Osbourne’s Badgley Mischka.

The tonal/tattoo combo looked amazing on Skylar Gray, who was also wearing Michael Costello. Minus the earrings, this was one of the most underrated (and most fabulous) looks of the night.

We love you Madge, but this look has been done far too often. And the cane addition is almost a cruel joke…

To be honest, our hopes weren’t very high for Kathy Griffin’s red carpet appearance, but this tacky Real Housewives of Orange County-meets-Fort Lauderdale dress has got to go.

Although Lorde stole the show by taking away several awards, her ill-fitting Balenciaga dress made her goth-rocker look fall flat.
