Local is the movement surrounding the holiday season, and lucky for us, there is no shortage of variety and selection from St. Louis’ broad range of crafters and artisans. A favorite in the area’s art and fashion community, Jenny Walker’s signature handmade metal jewelry collection perfectly mixes fashion and art, making it easy to snag a treasured gift for a friend or family member.

Perhaps the most recognizable of Walker’s creations is her Flora Collection. Delicate in appearance but crafted with quality metal, each piece is cut, hammered, carved and sanded to shape. The flowers are coated with a vitreous enamel—powdered glass fused to metal—to create colors and shades that are almost off the spectrum. The bold craftsmanship and quality pieces run at prices that are far less than traditional jewelry of its caliber.

To see Walker’s collection in person, head downtown to the Art Lofts this Thursday from 6pm-9pm where Michael Drummond will host his annual Holiday Party Sale featuring A-list guests, celebrity bartender Laura Kathleen, sales by several local artists and crafters, cocktails and refreshments. The event will be held open-house style at Drummond’s eclectic home and studio space and is open to the public.
