Fashion Events In STL: Saint Louis Fashion Week Calendar

Saint Louis Fashion Week announced the launch of its 2016 season late last week as well as the addition of a new cornerstone event, Caleres Fashion Entrepreneur Competition. The event list spans throughout the fall, celebrating 10 weeks of fashion focused on St. Louis. Here are the details:

Sept. 1: Sept. First. featuring House Ov Beeombi
St. Louis native Darron Cherry will present a 40-piece collection during a fashion presentation at Public Media Commons in Grand Center to kick off the fall STLFW season. Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9:01pm.

Sept. 14: Charlie Le Mindu Artist Talk + Book Signing 
Celebrate the US debut of artist Charlie Le Mindu with an artist talk and book signing of his publication, “Haute Coiffure,” at Washington University. Talk at 4pm; book signing at 5pm. Visit projects + gallery for updates and information.

Sept. 15: Opening Reception of “Charlie Would…” by Charlie Le Mindu
Head to projects + gallery for the US debut exhibit of artist Charlie Le Mindu. 5-8pm.

Sept. 30: Celebrate Style Runway Show to benefit Siteman Cancer Center
The Celebrate Style Runway Event targets men and women who love fashion and are committed to supporting cancer research and education. Guests will come together in their best cocktail attire to drink and socialize with the St. Louis fashion set and Siteman supporters. The evening will culminate in a runway show featuring several St. Louis area boutiques. 7-10pm

Oct. 5: STLFW Panel Discussion during St. Louis Design Week
Celebrating great ideas and creativity in STL, St. Louis Design Week offers a variety of events throughout the week, including a panel discussion by Saint Louis Fashion Week on Oct. 5 from 8:30-10am. More information to be announced soon!

Oct. 8: An Evening with Saint Louis Fashion Fund and Saint Louis Ballet
Enjoy a cutting-edge mashup of fashion and contemporary ballet while meeting the designers and choreographers over cocktails and small bites.

Oct. 8: The Factory Fashion Show + Night Market
Join a selection of local designers and brands including Perpetua by Kristin Johnson, Lauren Tracy, Mula Rouge Knits by Casharel Anias, Q Liu, Brandin Vaughn and Nasheli Juliana for a unique fashion show event that will take place off the beaten path. A night market will open just after the show wraps, featuring shopping and more.

Oct. 15: Local Designer Trunk Show at Skif
Shop a variety of local clothing, jewelry and wares at Skif Headquarters on The Hill. 10am-5pm.

Oct. 15: Fright Night Pop-Up Shop with Living Collective
Shop a variety of local vendors including Metal Institution, Meero Mani Nails and Living Collective during a fashionable, Halloween-themed bash in the Central West End. More information coming soon!

Nov. 10: Caleres Entrepreneur Competition
In a fashion-meets-“Shark-Tank”-style event on Nov. 10, five St. Louis-based fashion makers will present their brands and vie for the competition win. The $10,000 grand prize will be awarded at this can’t-miss event featuring interactive fashion presentations, innovative designs inspired by Caleres shoes, video presentations and live pitches from the finalists. This year, you’ll even get to help choose the People’s Choice winner, in a public vote online in advance of the event. 6:30pm.
