Edwardsville Fashion Show Adds a Vintage Twist
Last year’s Rouge Allure Fashion Show debuted to a packed house, and this year’s event promises to be even more talked-about. Presented by Friends of the Wildey and hosted by stylist and fashion blogger Kate Allen of Joy & Cake, Rouge Allure will feature looks from What to Wear, RunWell, Glik’s, hazel2blue, Leopard Boutique, Mr. Anthony’s, and Doncaster.
Attendees can also look forward to “My Mother’s Dress,” a special vintage runway presentation that pays homage to the fashion scene of the 1950s and 1960s by showcasing a number of nostalgic gowns from that era.
A pop-up boutique/trunk show, where guests can peruse a veritable bazaar of offerings from the likes of Doncaster, Vivi Children’s Wear, PartyLite, Plowsharing Crafts, The Flower Basket, CS Gems, RunWell, Mary Kay, Leopard Boutique, hazel2blue, Miss Mary’s Cupcakes, White Birch, and Butterflies and Bullfrogs will be held in the Wildey’s much-loved Chandelier Room. The pop-up boutique/trunk show can be accessed by guests both before and after the fashion show. Prior to the fashion show, VIP ticket holders can enjoy a 6pm pre-party in the VIP lounge featuring a meet-and-greet with Kate Allen, small bites and mocktails, entertainment by CS Gems, a deluxe gift bag, and other giveaways and surprises.
The event is slated for Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Widley Theatre (252 N Main Street) in Edwardsville. VIP tickets are available. For tickets and information, visit the Widley Theatre website.
