It’s been almost 10 years since restauranteur David Bailey opened the doors to Bailey’s Chocolate Bar in Lafayette Square. Since then, he’s debuted Rooster, Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar and Bailey’s Range downtown. Now he’s getting ready to bow eatery number four, this time in Midtown. Bailey’s new place will be called Small Batch, and he says it’s going to be a vegetarian restaurant, with a bar that will focus on American whiskies, house-made ingredients like bitters and tinctures, and plenty of beer. The space will be located in the Ford Motor Building on Locust Street, with seating for about 34 and the feel of an open-air French cafe. Starting June 1, fans can follow the progress of Small Batch at SmallBatchSTL.com. Look for an opening in early fall.
