Collaborations and Diverse Creative Ventures Take Center Stage at the Nov. 9 Creative Process Event

 In Event, Sponsored

With so many diverse creative ventures happening in St. Louis, the Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s Creative Process series is always bursting with cross-disciplinary collaborations. The evenings are structured into two parts: conversations and pitches. This format offers plenty of opportunity for celebrating and fostering multiple ventures during each session.

At the upcoming event on Nov. 6 at the Saint Louis Fashion Fund offices in Downtown St. Louis, the speaker is visual and recording artist Brock Seals. The St. Louis-based artist has had work exhibited across the nation, but he also keeps tabs on the local scene—for example, he curates an annual “Art, Mimosas and Pancakes” exhibition for emerging and professional artists.

The two pitches at Creative Process are from Karlovsky Dance Company, a St. Louis-based contemporary modern dance company dedicated to nurturing and extending the art of dance with innovative choreography that illuminates the human experience, and Rockette Fox (aka Fox Smith), an illustrator, storyteller, performer and designer.

This platform for up-and-coming artists to find collaborators in the St. Louis community has been happening since 2017. Creatives wishing to be part of a future event can submit their pitches online.
