Claire Flowers To Debut Shoe Caps That Support Breast Cancer Awareness At Luxury Living Fall Event
Venture to the rooftop lounge of Clayton on the Park for the Luxury Living Fall Event for a two-day trunk show featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and shoes from Oct. 1-2. The event runs between 8:30am and 7pm and is hosted by Tom James, custom clothiers with a branch in St. Louis, and sponsored by Claire Flowers, the store’s exclusive line of shoes for women.
As of last month, Tom James only carried men’s shoes, including established brands Ferragamo, Allen Edmonds and Johnston & Murphy, but with the introduction of Claire Flowers to the store, women will also get the chance to shop footwear to match the quality tailoring of their Tom James clothing.Claire Flowers shoes will be on display during the trunk show and available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds benefits The St. Louis Suit Project, a nonprofit in St. Louis that donates mens suits for those in need of professional business attire for interviews and employment purposes.
Every style from the Claire Flowers fall collection will be sold at the event, including the debut of “new hot pink heel caps,” according to the founder and CEO. The new pop of color will only augment the innovation of Claire Flowers’s heel caps that are designed to avoid getting stuck in city grates and are made of a material found in roller skate wheels.
The inspiration for these flashy heel caps was to increase recognition of the brand through a more subtle demarcation than a logo, as well as charitable opportunities surrounding the arrival of October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. But you can support the charitable cause and treat your feet to spunky pink even if you can’t attend the trunk show. During the entire month of October, ten percent of all online proceeds will benefit the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.
