Make Plans to Check Out the New Ping-Pong Bar at Lulu’s Local Eatery on South Grand
Lulu’s Local Eatery, the vegan comfort food (it’s not an oxymoron, trust us) mainstay in St. Louis’ South Grand neighborhood, recently opened a ping-pong bar on the second floor of its building. When faced with what to do with their second-floor space, restaurant owners Lauren Loomis and Rob Tucker transformed the private residence and jumped aboard the new ping-pong bar trend—which, as its self-explanatory name suggests, allows patrons to enjoy specialty beer, wine and cocktails alongside a friendly game of ping pong on two full-size tables at the establishment.
Free and open to the public, the ping-pong bar is open all day alongside the restaurant’s daytime hours Monday through Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the bar opens at 5 p.m. and remains open until 12 a.m. Guests will also discover a happy hour at the ping-pong bar from 5 to 7 p.m., with drink specials including $6 cocktails and half-priced beers.
So if you’re looking for an eclectic spot in St. Louis to sip reasonably priced cocktails, munch on hearty yet healthy vegan eats after work and play ping pong with friends, we’ve found the perfect spot for you.
